The North African drums beats out the journey into the Middle East. It uses the Carsilama rhythm and the Persian Gypsy Scale is
used in the modal improvisation. The 'modern' improvisation from within the Oxford improvisers orchestra contrasts against the 'tradional' romany music, creating tension, energy and feeling of forward movement of the caravan.
