The Band at the Half Moon and Guests
The band has a residency at the Half Moon, Pub in St Clements, Oxford. They play regular spot on the last wednesday of the month. The gig has regular guest players including:
Bob Nichol on tenor saxophone
Mike Clapson on alto saxophone
Paul Jefferies on double bass
Martin Pickett on piano and trombone
Pete McPhail on baritone, alto saxophones and flute
Nick Blake on tenor saxophone
Peter Dixon on guitar
Lloyd Payne on trumpet
John Grieve on tenor saxophone
Peter Money on trombone
The band plays both originals and standards. Each member bringing their own personality which culminates into an individual sound which is exciting to hear and work with. Having a different guest each month alters the dynamics of the band, making no two gigs the same.
